Snow Joke

Today, the weatherman said there would be snow in certain parts of the country, including Manchester. This city could expect to be covered in a blanket of thick snow by three o'clock in the afternoon, they said.

What they didn't mention was that prior to any snow falling on the ground it would be pissing down with rain for the best part of the daytime. We did get snow this evening, but I doubt that it has stuck, given how wet it was earlier. Once again, the weather forecasters build our hopes up, only for them to be knocked down. Maybe weather forecasts should be banned from television-or at the very least, banned from ITV as they hardly ever get it right, do they? Sometimes it would be far better to either look out the window or wander outside. You'd get a far more accurate result that way.
