A proper intro..

While thinking about what to write about for my next blog entry, I realised that I didn't write a proper first entry- one that introduces this to the world, what it's about, etc. So, rather belatedly, I will try and give one here.

At the beginning of this year, I made a few new year's resolutions. One was to give more to good causes. Another was to stop biting my nails. The third one was to start a blog. The first I've managed to keep no problem, while the second has been a little harder (I've stopped and started several times- as I write this, I've stopped). It has taken me nine months to fulfill the third one, but better late than never, as they say.

In truth, I'd been putting off starting one for ages until now. I kept thinking, "what would I write about?" and "do I really want put my innermost thoughts on the web for all the world to see?" Then I thought, "why not? They won't know who you are and apart from you there probably won't be many people reading it anyway." Incidentally, if you're one of the small number of people who've discovered this, hello and thanks for coming.

At this point in time, I don't know how this is going to turn out. At the moment I'm just writing down whatever comes in my head, whether it be commenting on something in the news or just something I've noticed on the TV or on the web. It may end up becoming something totally different, or exactly the same as it does now. Hopefully it will turn out to be a decent blog whatever it ends up as.
